The site was shut down by the host because it was causing performance problems. After inspecting the problem, a bot managed to work it's way into the database from the old forums when it was ran using phpnuke and flooded the database exceeded the maximum limit and performing queries on the database multiple times every second. I've since then deleted the database and anything relating to the old site and had them reactivate the account. We should be fine until 2013

OK, EXPLAIN THE NEW REASON FOR THE FORUM FAIL

Hostmonster oversells their server space and such. And occasionally fucks up the mysql databases. Don't know why or how, but they do, it's usually fixed in an hour or 2 though. It's been like this for the past few years so I expect no different from them for as long as they're our host.
